Description:
Melcut Reamers are high precision tools used to 'size' pre-drilled or cored holes. They are custom built to suit specific applications and offer many features not found in a standard 'off-the-shelf' tool. There are several applications when a custom built reamer will be more cost effective.

Applications:
Custom-built reamers are more practical when conditions exist that require features not available on standard tools. For example: Longer lengths, intermediate diameters, special shank features, special end cut styles, special materials or coatings. A significant option is that the tools can be supplied with right or left hand spirals for right or left hand cutting or with straight flutes.

Limitations:
Reamer limitations are controlled by several factors and all have to be considered to obtain the optimum results; hole tolerance, surface finish, hole depth, material to be cut, pre-ream hole conditions.
